Fiesta Noche del Rio, a production of the Alamo Kiwanis Club, has performed since 1957, and has been a Riverwalk attraction ever since. Starting with the legendary Rosita Fernandez – San Antonio’s “First Lady of Song”, and creator and original performer – Noche del Rio has continuously performed for hundreds of thousands of delighted patrons, without fail. Since 1995 Noche del Rio has been led by Elizabeth “Lisa” Sanchez-Lopez, who directs, choreographs, and is the lead female singer.

A respected dance artist and educator, Lisa has choreographed and produced in major entertainment venues and has been instrumental in the opening of the San Antonio’s two major theme parks – Sea World of Texas and Fiesta Texas. In 2012 she was inducted into the San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame. When not performing on stage, she serves as Assistant Director of Fine Arts for the Northside Independent School District.
